Species: Ganoderma lucidum
Highly sought-after for its many medicinal properties, the Reishi* mushroom is easy and fascinating to grow. They prefer temperatures above 65 degrees Fahrenheit, but they will grow, though more slowly, at lower temperatures. Under good conditions Reishi will start to form fruiting bodies in just a few weeks.
Herbalists harvest and dry the mature fruiting bodies to break or grind up and use to make satisfying teas and alcohol tinctures.
Our Grow-it-Yourself™ kits use a unique blend of ingredients to ensure your success. They include dry substrate ingredients, peroxide-conditioned mushroom spawn, a growing bag, and complete instructions. You provide hydrogen peroxide (available at groceries and pharmacies), and water. By growing your own from scratch you save 40% or more over other kits on the market, while gaining more insight into the growing process.
These kits work. Our customers love them. With years of experience and thousands of kits sold, we confidently back them 100%: if you are not satisfied with yours we will replace it or refund the purchase price.

I just got this not too long ago, and it's just really great overall. It's easy to grow and fun and exciting, too. Plus, everyone here's friendly and helpful. It's great seeing things grow.

Even though I only paid for standard ground shipping (3-5 days...at least), my kits STILL came in on the 2nd shipping day! Yet another "above and beyond the call of duty" for Owen and The Imaginary Farmer store! Fantastic guys!!
This is my first Reishi kit and I simply can't wait to start seeing them grow! Very cool!
